The soul always knows what to do to heal itself… The challenge is to silence the mind.

About
Greetings! My name is Krystle Hunt, and I’ve been a holistic bodywork practitioner since 2014, and immersed in the healing arts for the last 15 years. My journey into holistic healing started like many others. I was seeking relief from my own health challenges after receiving little support from the medical system aside from taking medication. I developed autoimmune conditions in my early 20’s, which left me with many questions about what was happening in my body, what was contributing to my conditions, and how I could heal from it naturally. This quest turned into a deep love and passion for holistic healing, and a never-ending pursuit of knowledge.
Many years later, I still live with my autoimmune disorder; however, my symptoms are far less intense and more manageable as a result of incorporating holistic healing into my self-care routine. I learned that our body has immense wisdom and knows what it needs to heal if we allow the space to listen. Through my journey, I’ve discovered the massive impact our thoughts and emotions have on the health of our physical body. Our body responds to everything we think, and if our thoughts and emotions are imbalanced, this in turn affects our health and vitality.
My passion is focused on reducing stress-related disorders that could impact our emotional and physical health. The insights from Dr. Gabor Maté's book "When the Body Says NO – Exploring the Stress-Disease Connection" and Dr. Bradley Nelson’s "The Emotion Code" have strongly captured my attention. I believe when we reduce stress and release emotions, we open up a new channel for healing to begin. It's been empowering to know we can take charge of our wellness journey by nurturing our minds and hearts alongside our bodies.
In my experience as a Reflexologist, I’ve witnessed remarkable improvements in various health concerns, particularly adrenal fatigue, sleep, anxiety, and pain reduction. Many of my clients find themselves drifting off during sessions, and many share that they experience deeper sleep, less pain, increased energy levels, and improved emotional balance.
I’ve also worked with many women going through the transitions of perimenopause and menopause, and have found that incorporating reflexology into their self-care routine can lead to greater ease of symptoms. Reflexology can help promote relaxation, reduce stress, balance hormones and alleviate discomfort associated with hormonal changes.
Over the past three years, I’ve developed a passion for energy healing through Reiki, floral essences, and forms of vibrational energy medicine. This passion grew through my own personal healing journey as I witnessed the life-changing magic of clearing and harmonizing my energy system and increasing my life-force energy. This hidden well of vitality within our bodies is often overlooked, yet it's critical for our emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
Many who come to me for Reiki find themselves struggling with emotional imbalances, and Reiki has this amazing ability to lift away heavy emotions and connect us back to a place of harmony and peace. It took me seven years of people telling me I should try Reiki, before I finally did. Like so many, I was very skeptical and didn’t believe in it until one day, when I was very stressed, a friend trained in Reiki put her hands on my shoulders, and I felt this wave of bliss wash over me. Ever since then, I’ve been receiving my own Reiki treatments and have become fascinated by this system of healing, including all forms of energy medicine.
On a personal note, I’ve lived on Vancouver Island my entire life. My practice first started in the beautiful Nanoose Bay area, and for the last 9 years, I’ve been in the tranquil countryside of Coombs. I am a mother to a very inquisitive and sometimes wild 12-year-old son with ADHD. He has taught me so much about patience, resilience, compassion, and the importance of self-care for mothers of all walks of life, to remain healthy and balanced.
My family and I live on a forested acreage with many small animals, and my husband is a passionate gardener who is slowly evolving our property into more and more gardens. My future plan for my little wellness practice is to create a separate studio surrounded by a secret garden, where clients can rest before travelling home. Aside from being a holistic practitioner, I am also an artist, and in my free time, I focus on creative expression through my business, “Silent Forest Designs.”
My loves in life include nature, animals, the healing arts, early mornings, forest walks, a good coffee (morning ritual), a small group of supportive friends, my family, and embracing a life of simplicity. My happiness is quite simple, I just want to feel at home in my body and my heart.
I believe that healing is a journey with many layers, and sometimes it takes many years, even a lifetime to uncover it all. The more unconditional love we can hold for ourselves, the easier those layers become revealed and healing comes as a natural result. Our bodies hold all the wisdom we seek, and when we really get silent and listen, she speaks to us, guiding us to our path to healing and happiness. It’s my passion to help other women build their inner sanctuary, a place of healing.
